Officers of the American Opal Society

The American Opal Society was founded in 1964, incorporated in 1967, and is a nonprofit organization.

The AOS currently has approximately 100-150 members, representing many US states and a number other countries. Members enjoy numerous benefits and participate in the monthly meetings of the society in Anaheim and other outings. Local activities are coordinated within Southern California.

Our members include professional mineralogists, gemologists, jewelers, dealers, amateur collectors, and others who are interested in studying and collecting opals. All interested parties are welcome to join our society.
